Reporting live from Cypress I regret to inform you that the Games have had a fatal accident during practice runs at Whistlers Luge Track.
Nodar Kumaritashvili from Georgia was killed after loosing control of his sled and flying up and out of the track. He suffered major head trauma and died in Hospital. VANOC release the information from a press conference at 1:45 PT. I was in the Lodge with about 200 other volunteer's when the news came in. We stopped what we were doing and gathered around the many live feed TVs to watch the tragic news.
